The Other Art Fair was originally a slightly off the grid eventĀ  organised by a young British/French couple to provide young (and not so young) artists without gallery representation an opening to show work that would at best have lingered on, unseen in their studios. This was the second and last time I took part, trying hard to learn some much needed lessons of how to present work at informal and crowded settings: direct and on the whole without any fuss. What was a fetching, playful way of engaging artists with an audience has by now gone corporate. It was sold off and has become an international feature, run by the Saatchi galley.
